Fasting and the Day of Arafat

Bismillah

It was narrated that 'Aishah RA said:
"The Prophet SAWS was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays."
[Reported by al Tirmidhi 745; al Nasa'i 2361; Ibn Majah 1739; classed as authentic by al-Albani in Shahi al-Targhib 1044]

It was also narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah SWT be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting."
[Reported by al Tirmidhi 747; classed as authentic by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib 1041]

We are also in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, which are the best days in the entire year, and the Prophet SAWS would fast the first 9 days.

So do not forget to fast if you are able to do so, and also try to remind others.
